Ifa, Yoruba - African Divination

In traditional Yoruba culture, Ifá refers to a system of divination and the verses of the literary corpus known as the Odú Ifá presented in the course of divination. Orunmila is the deity associated with Ifa diviniation. In some instances, the name Orunmila is used interchangeably with the word Ifa. Orunmila brought Ifa diviniation to the world.

About Us

  • We are an organization of priests of the Yoruba/Ifa religion. We have over 7 years experience and over 20 years of family decent knowledge of the religion.  Our organization consists of diviners with religious family decent rooted to West Nigerian tribes.
  • Godchildren and Godparents principle. These are the guardians assigned to protect you and guide you through you life, chosen during the initiation process, and a person symbolic of a teacher.  In the Yoruba culture, and many other cultures, this position is one of great admiration, respect, and a sacred bond.
  • Where are we? We are based in Miami, Florida and have been established here for well over 30 years.  Our organization partners extend across the United States, overseas, and all over the world.  Many religious family members are from different cultures, but are all bonded and united by their faith.
  • From young babalawos to legendary babalawos. - The vast majority of Yoruba and Ifa babalawos reside in Florida.  Aside from Cuba, West Nigeria, and parts of the Carribean, Miami is regarded as the Santeria capital.
